So this week has been super great. Elder Tippetts is super awesome. We
are really trying to get some good work done here, and we are hoping
and praying that we are well on the way. This week has been tougher as
far as teaching goes, but that doesn't discourage us, because we know
the next miracle is just around the corner.
The weather here is super great, no snow yet!
I am also learning a little bit more Spanish because we have really
been trying to get the Spanish work here off the ground. I mostly
smile and nod while Elder Tippetts teaches. It is good for me though.
I need to shut my mouth more often hahaha
My miracle for this week was actually the fact that I didn't fall
asleep during Elder Hales talk from this past conference. Now, maybe
this is bad of me, but I almost always fell asleep during his talks.
It was a different story this Conference. I actually learned a whole
lot from his talk, including the quote that I shared.
His and Elder Sabin's talks were both amazing. I learned a lot about
discipleship and consecration. I learned that we need to be all-in so
that we can be spiritually safe in these last days. I also learned
that I need to be more diligent! I am here to serve a full-time
mission, not a part-time mission or even a 98% of my time mission. I
am on a mission to learn how to be a full-time disciple for the rest
of my life, and I will be able to do that because I love my Savior so
much.
I just really loved those talks because it was something I needed to
hear- and something I hope we all take to heart. The time for
part-time discipleship is over! We need to be full-time disciples of
Jesus Christ, not because we are afraid of the consequences (thanks
President Uchtdorf) but because we truly and deeply love Him.
Also, if you haven't checked out the video for this years Easter
Initiative, check it out. Go to Mormon.org and watch it, because it's
totally awesome.
Appropriate love,
Elder Bush

And in answer to some of your questions, there are a lot of members who we spend time with and try to help. The Roylance family is one. Their family actually reminds me of ours sometimes haha there is one girl and 5 boys and one just left on his mission. Not exactly our family, but it totally reminds me of our family haha they are great. The other lady, sister Nilsen, feeds us lunch all the time, and she is awesome and super funny.
Elder Tippetts leg is doing great. He is a stud and it didn't affect the work at all. It is actually really tough for us to be covering two wards and the Spanish for the entire Stake. We don't get to do very much walking, because there is always someone we need to try to contact. It's tough, but good. Whenever we can, we tract, but recently it hasn't been going super well. We are trying to make sure that we are still maintaining a positive attitude about it.
I totally love Conference. Conference is the absolute best. I always learn so much. One of the coolest things I've been learning recently went along with Elder Gary Sabin's talk about being "all-in" and standing up inside. I also loved Elder Hales' talk about being a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Elder Tippetts and I were talking about this, because it is really startling to realize the truth of the things they are teaching.
For example, what Elder Hales said, that the time for part-time discipleship is over. Or, like Elder Sabin taught, we are either all in or we are all out. Now is the time for us to decide the kind of disciples we are going to be. Now is the time to make sure we are converted to the the gospel. Like President Monson taught, we will not be spiritually safe unless we have a sure and strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and of Jesus Christ. It's really crazy, and exciting to know that the return of the Savior is approaching quickly. We all need to be prepared, but not out of fear. (Like President Uchtdorf taught) we need to be prepared out of love for the Savior and a desire to please Him.
I love you mom! This are just some of my thoughts from this week. Hopefully I will have more miracle to share next week, but for now, we will just keep working hard.
I love you so much
Elder Bush
