This week I wanted to devote my email to talking about Jesus Christ.
Now wait.
If any of you are like me, you have a tendency to skim weekly emails from missionaries. That's fine.
Except not this time. This weekly email is probably the most important that I will send. It is about the most important topic that I could ever talk about. So thanks for reading.
This week my love for Jesus Christ and my devotion to Him has grown in leaps and bounds. I have tried my best to follow the counsel we received multiple times at General Conference to study as much as we can about the Savior, and especially to include "The Living Christ" in my studies.
This has changed me as a person, and it has changed me as a missionary.
I have learned that Jesus Christ loves us so much. Everything He does is for us. His only focus is our eternal happiness! He established this church for us. He calls prophets for us. He writes scriptures for us. He gives us the gift of the Holy Ghost so we can be directed and find peace. He completed His Atonement for us. He gives us families so we can come to Him. He intercedes with the Father for us. He makes prayer possible so we can come directly to our Heavenly Father! He created this earth for us!
I testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. He is the one anointed by the Father to make salvation and exaltation possible for us!
The Living Christ is an amazing document. It has increased my testimony of Jesus Christ so much! Equally as important, as I have studied the life of Jesus Christ and His teachings in the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, and in "The Living Christ", I have come to truly love the Savior! I love Him and my desire to serve Him has grown so much! I know that as we follow the counsel of our living prophet and the apostles, we will come to know Jesus Christ, and we will come to love Him. As we study deeply in the Book of Mormon, we will feel an increased devotion to Him.
There is nothing that we can do in this life that will bless us more.
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" John 17:3
I invite you all to base your studies on Jesus Christ, and continually strive to come closer to Him through repentance and the sacrament. I know that this will bring you more happiness than anything else. I am excited to continue to learn more about Christ and continue serving Him for the rest of my life. I testify that Jesus is the Living Christ, and that He completed a perfect Atonement for us.
I love you all very much! This week has been great. We have seen some cool miracles with some families having their hearts softened and opened to the gospel. We also had a new investigator just show up to church this week and totally love it! Miracles are happening as we show our faith and work hard.
