November 28, 2016

We ended up only having two meals, but it was still very belly
expanding. We had dinner with a PMF that smoked their turkey. Sooooooo
good! The holidays are definitely awesome, but still hard sometimes
because I miss spending time with you guys.

Oh my goodness. That is so tragic and so sad. I didn't know the
Madsens super well but it still just hurts my heart thinking that
people I know well and love are so devastated too. My prayers will be
going out to them. I am so grateful for the gospel and for the
knowledge we have of the Plan of Salvation.

That is so awesome! I love the fact that white friday is a thing in
this family! Hopefully soon we will be able to get a temple policy
worked out with the temple president where we can go to the FOCO
temple quarterly. That would be so amazing!

So today we are having some fun adventures... remember that missionary
companionship we had to take down to Windsor because they were being
disobedient and were lying to the mission president?
Well today they are getting Emergency Transferred. President decided
to separate them ASAP because they weren't improving, they were
sleeping in every day and being super disobedient. So. Today we are
driving one of the missionaries up to Wheatland so that some
missionaries from Casper can come pick him up and take him to a
different area up north in downtown Casper. So yeah. The drive to
wheatland is about an hour both ways, so there goes 2 hours of our
P-day, and then we had to help these guys pack and get all of their
stuff moved out of the house they were living in-- so a total of about
3-4 hours are gone from our pday. Because of that president McMurray
said we could email after 6 PM and stuff.

There was an email last week that got sent after 6, and that's because
I sent it and then it was taking so long to send we left wifi and then
came back and it sent after that. I just want to make sure you know
I'm not being apostate lol

Our week has been pretty good, we are excited because the Christmas
initiative is out now! If you haven't seen it yet, its #LighttheWorld.
It is super awesome! President McMurray showed us the video a little
while ago, and we've been super excited for it ever since. We are glad
that it's super focused on service and helping others during the
Christmas season! These videos are always a really good missionary
tool.

The weather has gotten super cold recently. It is getting down into
the 20s regularly, which is cold, but not too bad... if it wasn't
windy. The wind is super bad here. Today we are getting wind gusts at
50+ mph, which makes things super cold when it is below freezing.
Brrrrr.... but the winter gear I have is keeping me pretty warm too.

This week we have been trying to contact lots of less actives and part
member families. We have a goal to try and visit as many families in
our wards as possible. We want to make sure every family gets at least
one visit in the month of December. So we are going through the
unassigned families lists in both of our wards, which comes out to
about 140-150 families. We will be very busy this month, especially
because we are also trying to find new investigators too. I am so
grateful for the Spirit, because as a missionary, I get very tired. At
the beginning of my mission, I was hopping out of bed just ready to go
kick some butt.
Now there are some days where I wake up and I just don't want to go
work that day. But I do it anyways and I'm always happier. Missionary
work is difficult, but it is truly amazing.

I bet it was really hard to spend your anniversary apart, but on the
bright side, you have eternity together, so that's good. Haha but
seriously I know it was hard and I am glad leslie still made it a
special day for you.

I am so grateful that I have you guys as my parents. I love you so
much and I have truly come to appreciate your hard work and dedication
to each other, to us, to your friends, but most importantly you are
both dedicated to the Lord, and that is what helps me the most. I love
you guys! You are the best.
