Email to Mom:

The piano guys' music is always very spiritual and really does bring us closer to the Savior. It's pretty cool to see how their music touches our lives and also how he Lord answers prayers in ways we don't expect sometimes. Pretty cool :)

Okay we legit just talked to a guy who was tripping on acid. He was singing at the top of his lungs in the Walmart parking lot. I looked over at him and smiled and he pointed at me and said "God bless your stresses!" And then I said you too and then he got freaked out and ran over to me and started asking me for some of our pamphlets and stuff. He started crying and yelling and then finally calmed down and asked us to pray for him. It was an interesting experience for sure.

This week we've been able to do lots of service. We moved a bunch of rocks for one of our investigators. That lasted for about 2 1/2 hours so that was good, but my back is sore now. We helped a lot of people move, one of the people we moved has a lot of cats so everything was super stinky. Amanda and Spencer came with us to help people move, it's really cool to see the, serve everybody. We are definitely developing Christlike attributes. We are about to go disk golfing right now.

We just finished practicing a song for zone meeting, and hopefully it goes well and I don't wreck it when it comes time for me to sing.

Hey! I have 467 pages in Jesus the Christ left! You're just barely behind me haha I love that book. One thing that I loved that I just finished reading was about Christ healing the two blind men. I love how they petition Him to heal them, and He just keeps walking. He knew that faith was required for miracles. He required them to walk in the dark, by faith for just a little while, and then He healed them. It is the same way for us. We often plead to be healed immediately, and the Savior knows that faith is required, so He often gives us a test of our faith do we will be able to summon the faith sufficient for Him to heal us or perform a miracle. I absolutely love that.

"love is also spelled L-I-S-T-E-N" to Me.

Love is all about listening. So listen to somebody today.
This week I really learned how important it is to listen, especially in our prayers.
We know that when we listen to others, we show them we love them. It is one of the best ways we can show people we actually care.
This week I learned that also applies in our prayers. We must listen in our prayers. Prayer is designed to be 2- way communication. When we listen in our prayers, we show Heavenly Father our love for Him. I've also learned that sometimes Heavenly Father doesn't always answer our prayers right away, because He wants us to learn how to listen. Or in other words, how to love.

Amanda and Spencer are so cool!

  1. One day you will be able to read back over this blog and find terrific material for talks and lessons. The "listen' comments were so true for both Heavenly Father and for our friends and family as well as people we don't know.
Great way for someone to commit to living the WoW!
